NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED ORDINANCE - DELINQUENT TAX COLLECTION FEES
The Remington Town Council will hold a public hearing on October 19, 2026 at 7:00pm at Town Hall, 105 East Main Street, Remington, Virginia, to receive public comments on a proposed ordinance authorizing fees for the collection of delinquent taxes and other delinquent charges pursuant to Virginia Code § 58.1-3958.
The proposed ordinance would allow the Town to impose reasonable attorney's or collection agency fees actually contracted for, not to exceed 20 percent of the delinquent taxes or other charges collected.
A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for public review at Town Hall during regular business hours. All interested persons are invited to attend.

Written protests must be mailed to DMV Motor Carrier Services, Attn: Operating Authority, P. O. Box 27412, Richmond, VA 23269-0001 and must be postmarked on or before September 10, 2026.
Any protest filed with competent evidence will be carefully considered by DMV, however, DMV will have full discretion as to whether a hearing is warranted based on the merits of the protest filed.

Purpose of notice: To seek public comment on a draft permit from the Department of Environmental Quality that would allow impacts to wetlands and stream channel in Spotsylvania County, Virginia

Project description: The applicant has applied for a new permit for the Hunter Trust project. The project is located at 8613 Linton Hall Road, in Prince William County, Virginia. The proposed activity consists of construction of a data center campus with ten, 2-story data center buildings, one switch pad, two substation pads, supporting equipment areas, parking, stormwater management, utilities, and other associated infrastructure. The proposed activity would affect 4.11 acre(s) of wetlands, and 3,770 linear feet of stream channel. The proposed activity would affect unnamed tributaries of Broad Run in the Rocky Branch-Broad Run watershed. To compensate for the surface waters affected, the applicant would purchase 8.22 wetland mitigation credit(s) and 4,206 USM stream mitigation credits. DEQ's tentative decision is to issue the permit.
HOW TO COMMENT AND/OR REQUEST A PUBLIC HEARING: DEQ accepts written comments and requests for public hearing by hand-delivery, e-mail, or postal mail. All comments and requests must be in writing and be received by DEQ during the comment period. Submittals must include the names, mailing addresses or email addresses of the commenter/requester and of all persons represented by the commenter/requester.
