The Site was enrolled in the VDEQ VRP on September 27, 2024. The Site is currently under development with plans to redevelop the property with commercial retail uses including a Home Depot, an Aldi, and a Chase Bank. To support the redevelopment, a new access road, Marina Way, will be constructed across the central part of the Site connecting Gordon Boulevard with Annapolis Way.
The proposed remediation will include the implementation of land use controls at the Site, including property use restrictions, groundwater use restrictions, groundwater monitoring, and installation of a vapor intrusion mitigation system at one building on the Site in the isolated area of potential impact.
