Notice of Voluntary Remediation
Pursuant to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ) Voluntary Remediation Program (VRP) Regulations (9VAC20-160-120), KRCX Sandrell of Virginia, LLC (KRCX) is providing notice of voluntary remediation at the referenced Gordon Plaza property (herein referenced to as "the Site"), located at 13271 Gordon Boulevard, Woodbridge, Prince William County, Virginia. The Site was enrolled in the VDEQ VRP on September 27, 2024. Environmental investigations identified chlorinated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in soil, soil gas, and groundwater, with localized groundwater concentrations exceeding VDEQ standards, in relation to a drycleaning solvent release(s) by a historical drycleaner that operated at the Site. A Site Characterization Report documenting the site assessment is available upon request from the VDEQ.
The Site is currently under development with plans to redevelop the property with commercial retail uses including a Home Depot, an Aldi, and a Chase Bank. To support the redevelopment, a new access road, Marina Way, will be constructed across the central part of the Site connecting Gordon Boulevard with Annapolis Way.
The proposed remediation will include the implementation of land use controls at the Site, including property use restrictions, groundwater use restrictions, groundwater monitoring, and installation of a vapor intrusion mitigation system at one building on the Site in the isolated area of potential impact.

American Towers LLC is proposing to increase the height of an existing monopole telecommunications tower from 70-ft (71.2 with all appurtenances) AGL to 80-ft (82-ft with all appurtenances) AGL associated with the collocation of antennas at 78-ft AGL onto the heightened tower. The existing facility is located at 10149 Linton Hall Road, southeast of the Town of Bristow, within Prince William County, Virginia (Parcel ID:7595-53-3039). American Towers LLC seeks comments from all interested persons on any potential significant impact the proposed action could have on the quality of the human environment pursuant to 47 C.F.R. Section 1.1307, including potential impacts to historic or cultural resources that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Project description: Dominion Energy Virginia has applied for renewal of the permit for Remington Combustion Turbine Station. The facility is located Northeast of the Town of Remington, East of Route 15 off Lucky Hill Road. The facility is classified as a major source of air pollution. There is no proposed change in emissions. The permit renewal would allow the source to continue to operate a fossil fuel electric power generation facility.
HOW TO COMMENT AND/OR REQUEST A PUBLIC HEARING: DEQ accepts comments and requests for public hearing by hand-delivery, e-mail, or postal mail. All comments and requests must be in writing and be received by DEQ during the comment period. Submittals must include the names and mailing addresses or email addresses of the commenter/requester and of all persons represented by the commenter/requester. A request for public hearing must also include: 1) The reason why a public hearing is requested. 2) A brief, informal statement regarding the nature and extent of the interest of the requester or of those represented by the requester, including how and to what extent such interest would be directly and adversely affected by the permit. 3) Specific references, where possible, to terms and conditions of the permit, with suggested revisions. Please note this draft permit is being concurrently reviewed as a proposed permit by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. A public hearing may be held, including another comment period, if public response is significant, based on individual requests for a public hearing, and there are substantial, disputed issues relevant to the permit.

Manassas Regional Airport announces the availability of the Draft Programmatic Environmental Assessment (PEA) for the Part 139 Certification & Terminal Redevelopment Program at Manassas Regional Airport for review and comment. This PEA was prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) of 1969, and pursuant to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Order 1050.1G, FAA National Environmental Policy Act Implementing Procedures, and the Department of Transportation (DOT) Order 5610.1D, DOT's Procedures for Considering Environmental Impacts. The PEA analyzes the possible environmental effects of the proposed Manassas Regional Airport (HEF) Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 139 Certification and Terminal Redevelopment Program. This PEA examines potential impacts associated with terminal expansion and certification standards to support the introduction of scheduled commercial service operations at HEF.
