NOTICE OF TOWN COUNCIL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Warrenton will hold their Regular Monthly Meeting Work Session on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the Warrenton Town Hall Council Chambers (First Floor) located at 21 Main Street, Warrenton, Virginia.
Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Warrenton will hold their Regular Monthly Meeting on Tuesday, April 14th, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the Warrenton Town Hall Council Chambers (First Floor) located at 21 Main Street, Warrenton, Virginia. The Town Council will hold a Public Hearing on the following items:
Ordinance 2026-03: An Ordinance to amend Town Code Section VI., Use of Public Grounds, Sections 14-101 through 14-103 14-5. We are proposing a change to the Ordinance VI language to do the following: Extending the window by which Special Events can be approved, from 6 months to 12 months prior to the event date. Allowing for the denial of an application if Special Event fees from a prior event are unpaid. Alongside a change to the Ordinance to Establish Business, Professional and Occupational License Tax Rates for the Tax Year Beginning on July 1, 2025 (Ordinance 2025-06): 3. Itinerant Merchant fees: Reducing the fee for Itinerant Merchants Licenses from $500 to $100.
Ordinance 2026-04: An Ordinance to consider the sale of Public Property- 18 Court Street, Warrenton, VA 20186 (Tax Map Parcel: 6984-33-8623-000.) in accordance with Section 15.2-1800(B) of the Code of Virginia, as amended. Persons interested in viewing the said real property may contact Christopher E. Martino, Interim Town Manager, at (540/-347-1107, or at 21 Main Street, Warrenton, Virginia 22701.
People having an interest in the above are invited to participate in the hearing and state their opinion regarding the above issues. The public may also choose to submit written comments through the Town's website or by emailing citizencomment@warrentonva.gov during the public comment period, which will end at noon the day of the Public Meeting, April 14th, 2026.
