Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Manassas, Virginia, will hold a public hearing pursuant to Virginia Code §15.2-1800 (B) on Monday, April 27, 2026 at the regular City Council meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Council Chambers of City Hall, 9027 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia on the granting of a lease to the Greater Manassas Volunteer Rescue Squad (GMVRS) for property the City owns located at 9322 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia. The proposed lease is a renewal with a term of five (5) years, with occupancy by GMVRS subject to such other terms and conditions as are set forth within the proposed lease, the full text of which is on file in the Office of the Clerk of City Council, located on the 4th floor of City Hall, 9027 Center Street, Manassas, VA 20110.
Any person may appear at the public hearing to express their views on the proposed renewal lease to GMVRS. This hearing is being held in a public facility believed to be accessible to persons with disabilities. Any persons with questions on accessibility of the facility should contact the City Clerk at the above address, by telephone at (703) 257-8211, or by email to ewsmith@ci.manassas.va.us. Persons needing interpreter services for the hearing impaired and/or vision impaired should notify the City Clerk at least one week before the scheduled hearing.

The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) solicits technical information or comments on proposed flood hazard determinations for the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), and where applicable, the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for your community. These flood hazard determinations may include the addition or modification of Base Flood Elevations, base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries or zone designations, or the regulatory floodway. Board of Equalization of Real Estate Assessments Seeking Members
Notice is hereby given that the 20th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia is seeking applicants to serve a one-year term on the Fauquier County Board of Equalization (BOE) for the general reassessment effective January 1, 2026. The BOE is comprised of five members who are Fauquier County residents and a majority are property owners of Fauquier County. Appointees are selected by a majority vote of the five Circuit Court Judges. At least thirty percent (30%) of the appointees shall be commercial or residential real estate appraisers, other real estate professionals, builders, developers, or legal or financial professionals. To be eligible for appointment, each member shall attend and participate in the basic course of instruction given by the Department of Taxation under Code of Virginia § 58.1-206.
Any person desiring to apply for the BOE appointments shall file their résumé with the Fauquier County Attorney's Office, c/o Marianne Primeau, 10 Hotel Street, Warrenton, Virginia 20186 or marianne.primeau@fauquiercounty.gov, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026.
