NOTICE OF WILLINGNESS
Graham Park Road Sidewalk Improvement
Prince William County Department of Transportation (PWC DOT), in cooperation with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) proposes the construction of an approximately 1,600-foot segment of 5-foot-wide sidewalk that ties to existing facilities just after Jillian Lane and ties back into an existing sidewalk just beyond Graham Park Middle School. The sidewalk will have a 4-foot-wide inside buffer strip between the sidewalk and existing curb & gutter and a 1-foot-wide outside buffer on the backside of the sidewalk. Additional project improvements and design elements include Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended (ADA) compliant curb ramps and entrances, drainage accommodations, a retaining wall, and the relocation of several utility poles. The sidewalk construction will require dedication of right of way and easements from multiple adjacent properties.
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and 23 CFR 771, a Programmatic Categorical Exclusion (PCE) has been prepared under an agreement between VDOT and FHWA for the project.
