Please take notice that on Monday, January 26, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the case may be heard, pursuant to § 3.2-6569 of the Code of Virginia, there will be a hearing before the Fauquier County General District Court, located at 6 Court Street, Warrenton, Virginia, on the petition of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, ex rel. Fauquier County Sheriff's Office, Animal Control Division, to determine whether one black and brown male Nigerian Dwarf goat, located on January 8, 2026 at 8816 James Madison Highway, Warrenton, Virginia, has been abandoned, and if so, the Petitioner's authority to dispose of the goat pursuant to Code of Virginia § 3.2-6569. The owner of said goat is hereby notified of the hearing and the need to appear at the hearing to protect their interests. It is therefore ORDERED that this Order be published in the Fauquier Times for four consecutive weeks and that the above-named persons and those made defendants by the general description of Parties Unknown, appear on or before the 23rd day of January 2026 at 9:30 AM in the Clerk's Office of this Court and do what is necessary to protect their respective interests herein.
