NOTICE OF FAUQUIER COUNTY PARKS & RECREATION DEPARTMENT PUBLIC HEARING The Fauquier County Parks & Recreation Department will hold a public hearing on May 21, 2026, at Laurel Ridge Community College Barkman Family Conference Center, Hazel Hall 6480 College Street Warrenton, VA 20187. The hearing will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM. 1. Public hearing for VDOT Project Number EN24-030-896, UPC 125740: Laurel Ridge Shared Use Path A public hearing to share with the public the design plans to construct a shared use path from Laurel Ridge Community College to the Warrenton Branch Greenway Trail. The project consists of approximately 4,450 linear feet of a 10-foot-wide shared use path, including associated pedestrian and drainage improvements to enhance connectivity and safety within the corridor. Informational handouts and a large, colorized print of the project will be made available during the public hearing. Copies of the above files are available for review by contacting Gary Rzepecki at gary.rzepecki@fauquiercounty.gov or by calling (540) 422-8557. All interested persons are invited to attend this public hearing and present their views. Verbal comments will be recorded by a court reporter. The Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) solicits technical information or comments on proposed flood hazard determinations for the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), and where applicable, the Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for your community. These flood hazard determinations may include the addition or modification of Base Flood Elevations, base flood depths, Special Flood Hazard Area boundaries or zone designations, or the regulatory floodway. The FIRM and, if applicable, the FIS report have been revised to reflect these flood hazard determinations through issuance of a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR), in accordance with Title 44, Part 65 of the Code of Federal Regulations. These determinations are the basis for the floodplain management measures that your community is required to adopt or show evidence of having in effect to qualify or remain qualified for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program.
