VACANCY NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the 20th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia will make an appointment to fill a vacancy on the Fauquier County Board of Zoning Appeals.
Any persons desiring to apply for this appointment shall, no later than 4:00 p.m. on December 1, 2025, to submit in writing their résumé and letter of interest to Chief Judge Fleming, Loudoun County Circuit Court, c/o Alejandra Rueda to alejandra.rueda@loudoun.gov, or the Clerk of the Fauquier County Circuit Court, 29 Ashby Street, Warrenton, Virginia 20186.

The owner of the two Shorthorn cattle further described herein shall take notice that on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 11:30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the case may be heard, the Fauquier County General District Court, located at 6 Court Street, Warrenton, Virginia, will conduct a hearing. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the petition of the Fauquier County Board of Supervisors, ex rel. Fauquier County Sheriff's Office, Animal Control Division (Petitioner), filed pursuant to Code of Virginia § 3.2-6569 to determine whether said cattle were abandoned, and if so, the Court will decide Petitioner's authority to dispose of the cattle pursuant to subsection D of § 3.2-6546 of the Code of Virginia. Said cattle were located on September 12, 2025 at 10717 Brent Town Road, Catlett, Fauquier County, Virginia. The cattle are Shorthorns, one white and roan male with a green ear tag with number 233, and one female that is red with white markings. The State Veterinarian and the County Attorney's Office were contacted. The cattle were seized and impounded pursuant to Code of Virginia § 3.2-6569. People having an interest in the above are invited to participate in the meeting and state their opinion regarding the above issues.
