Request for Proposal REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL In accordance with (§) 15.2-2101 of the Code of Virginia, the Town of Remington is seeking bids for a franchise, right and privilege, over, along, on, and under the streets, alleys, and public places of the Town, for the purposes of distributing, transmitting, and selling electric current for light, heat, power and broadband facilities including all equipment, accessories, and appurtenances desirable, and communications through broadband facilities, at any point within the corporate limits of the Town of Remington; as the same now exist or may hereafter be extended or altered, in accordance with a Franchise Agreement to be reviewed and approved by the Town Council. Such franchise shall be for a term of forty (40) years. A copy of the proposed ordinance and Franchise Agreement is on file at Town Hall and is available for public review. All bids must be submitted in writing to the Town of Remington office, 105 E Main St, Remington, VA 22734-Attention Town Administrator, Rachael Brinson by Wednesday, October 15, 2025. All bids will be presented to the Town Council at its regular meeting on October 20, 2025, at Town Hall, 105 E Main St, Remington, Va 22734 at 7:00PM according to Section 15.2-2102 of the Code of Virginia.
