NOTICE: Judicial Sale of Real Property
On October 26, 2026, or as soon thereafter as is practicable, Tanya Remson Wilcox, the Fauquier County Treasurer, under the authority of § 58.1-3965 et seq. of the Code of Virginia will commence proceedings in the Circuit Court of Fauquier County to sell the following parcels of land for payment of delinquent real estate taxes:
1. ALL THAT certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being in Cedar Run Magisterial District, Fauquier County, Virginia, BEGINNING at an iron pipe found at the southwesterly corner of the land of Morning Star of Catlett, Inc. and in the easterly right of way line of Old Dumfries Road (50' wide); thence leaving Old Dumfries Road and running with Morning Star of Catlett, Inc., S. 70 degrees 51' 00 E. 332.15 feet to a pipe found, corner to Blackwell; thence leaving Morning Star of Catlett, Inc. and running with Blackwell S. 21 degrees 46' 00 W. 85.31 feet to a large aluminum pipe found; thence N. 70 degrees 47' 00 W. 85.31 feet to a large aluminum pipe found; thence N 70 degrees 47' 00 W 332.11 feet to an iron pin set in the easterly line of Old Dumfries road; thence leaving Blackwell and running with Old Dumfries Road N. 21 degrees 45' 00 E. 84.92 feet to the point of beginning and containing 0.648 acres, more or less; AND BEING the property conveyed to Rana S. Blackwell, a/k/a Rena S. Blackwell, and Janette E. Blackwell, as joint tenants with the right of survivorship, by Deed from Constance M. Capone, dated November 3, 2006 and recorded November 7, 2006 in Deed Book 1241 at page 145 among the Fauquier County, Virginia land records. Rana S. Blackwell died intestate December 26, 2010, leaving Janette E. Blackwell as surviving joint tenant. Janette E. Blackwell died intestate May 22, 2024 survived by her heirs at law as set forth in CWF2024-247. The record owners are the Heirs of Janette Elizabeth Blackwell who are: Beverly Rena Holloman; Anthony Garland Blackwell; Tanette Lorraine Carter; Andrew Bell Brice; Meredith A. Williams (who disclaimed her interest in DB1791/618); Paul William Bell; Madurick Hampton Bell; Kenneth Bryan Carter; Devon Tasker Blackwell; William T. Blackwell, II. The parcel is known for tax purposes as PIN: 7922750483000/PID: 47362.
2. ALL THAT certain lot or parcel of land, together with improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, lying and being situate in Lee Magisterial District, Fauquier County, Virginia, east of the Town of Remington, being designated as LOT 16, BLOCK B, BOYD M. SMITH DIVISION, as the same is shown on that certain Plat of Survey of H.G. Hiter, Surveyor, dated May 10, 1917, and recorded in Deed Book 118, at page 218, among the land records of the Circuit Court of Fauquier County, Virginia. AND BEING the same property conveyed to Glen Jenkins by virtue of that certain Deed from Sandra J. Slaughter, Alvin L. Pinn, and Kathleen I. Dodds; dated September 3, 2021, and recorded in Deed Book 1701, at page 117, among the land records aforesaid. AND ALL THAT certain lot or parcel of land, together with improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, lying and being situate in Lee Magisterial District, Fauquier County, Virginia, east of the Town of Remington, being 80.80 feet wide and 333.10 feet long, identified as THIS AREA TO ADD TO LOT 16, as the same is shown on that certain Plat of Survey of Rush W. Boyer, C.L.S., dated June 11, 1970, and recorded in Deed Book 311, at page 206, among the land records of the Circuit Court of Fauquier County, Virginia. AND BEING the same property conveyed to Glen Jenkins by virtue of that certain Deed from Deborah J. Thrower, Sandra J. Slaughter, Alvin L. Pinn, and Kathleen I. Dodds, dated September 3, 2021, and recorded in Deed Book 1701, at page 269, among the land records aforesaid. The record owner is Glen Jenkins. The physical address is: 12307 Piney Lane, Remington, VA 22734. The property is known for tax purposes as PIN: 6887469333000/PID: 7737.
3. ALL THAT certain lot or parcel of land, together with improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, lying and being situate in Fauquier County, Virginia on State Road #661, containing one acre, more or less, as the same is shown on that certain Plat of Survey of Rush W. Boyer, C.L.S., dated June 1962, and recorded in Deed Book 217, at page 247, among the land records of the Circuit Court of Fauquier County, Virginia. LESS AND EXCEPT THEREFROM that portion conveyed to the Commonwealth of Virginia for highway purposes by Deed dated February 24, 1969, and recorded in Deed Book 256, at page 395, among the land records aforesaid. AND BEING the residue of the property conveyed to Joe. A. Jenkins by Deed from William D. Jenkins and Minerva Jenkins dated June 4, 1962, and recorded in Deed Book 217, at page 247, among the land records aforesaid. Reference is hereby made to the List of Heirs recorded in Will Book 226, at page 542; and to the Amended List of Heirs recorded in Will Book 228, at page 1968. The owners of record are Madelyn A. Jenkins (1/3 interest) and Sharon Johnson, Joann Lee, Tammy Jenkins, Tensi Jenkins, Gregory Jenkins, and William Jenkins (2/3 interest). Sharon Johnson died on December 1, 2008, unmarried and survived by her two children, Sharronda Clementine Johnson and Stephen David Thomas. Joe A. Jenkins' wife, Madelyn A. Jenkins, remarried after Mr. Jenkins' death to a man named Lemuel Adolphus Montgomery. Then she died intestate on December 7, 2021, leaving her 1/3 interest to her husband (1/9) and her four children (2/9 to be divided among them). Mr. Montgomery died testate on July 2, 2022 and bequeathed his entire estate to his daughter, Phaedra Luray Paraison who thus inherited his 1/9 interest. 4. ALL THAT certain lot or parcel of land, together with improvements thereon and appurtenances thereunto belonging, lying and being situate in Marshall Magisterial District, Fauquier County, Virginia, located near Carters Run Church, adjoining the lands of C.E. Holtzclaw and Anton Schwab, et al., and containing 2 acres, more or less. AND BEING the same property conveyed to Stanton Settle by virtue of that certain Deed appearing of record in Deed Book 117, at page 197, among the land records of the Circuit Court of Fauquier County, Virginia. 5. ALL of those two small parcels of land located in the County of Fauquier, about one mile southeast of Midland, and being the same lots or parcels of land conveyed to T.S. Pilcher by deed from Jack Johnson and Mary Johnson, described as follows: LOT 1: Beginning at a stone by a Thorn Tree in Raymond's line, corner to Taylor; thence with his line S 4 ¾ E 38.12 poles to a stake in Taylor's line, corner to Allen; thence N 57 E 33.88 poles to a stake, corner to lot sold by Williams to W.O.
