TRAIL CONSTRUCTION
Little Fork Church Trail Project
Little Fork Episcopal Church invites qualified contractors to submit sealed proposals to construct a Recreational Trail. Work includes 0.84 miles of 5 ft wide crushed stone path, shoulders, & geotextile; two stone parking areas; parking signs; E&S measures; & HDPE pipe. THIS IS A FEDERALLY-FUNDED RECREATIONAL TRAIL PROGRAM GRANT PROJECT. BIDDERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR UNDERSTANDING ALL REQUIREMENTS AND SUBMITTING ALL REQUIRED FORMS AT THE CORRECT TIMES. Partial funding for the project is being provided by the Recreational Trails Program of the Federal Highway Administration administered in Virginia by The Department of Conservation and Recreation and must be undertaken in accordance with the RTP guidance of the FHWA, 2, 23 and 49 CFR, and the Build America and Build America, Buy America Acts. Buy America requirements are waived for this project as part of the Small Grants determination. Companies that cannot provide the required insurance and bonds or do not meet the qualifications included in the Project Manual need not respond to this announcement. Contract Documents are available by emailing the Landscape Architect at jbasicpla@gmail.com. Documents consist of a Plan Set and Project Manual and are only available as PDF documents. Bidders are responsible for printing hard copies. The Owner, Engineer, Landscape Architect, nor any of their agents, employees, or affiliates are responsible for errors in print scale, quality, or other reproduction anomalies. All bidders are encouraged to attend a Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting on Friday, 9/26/25 at 10:00 am at the project site located at 16461 Oak Shade Rd., Rixeyville, VA 22737. Bids are due via sealed hard-copy submission at the Culpeper office of Sullivan, Donohoe & Ingalls, Attn: Rick Furnival, no later than 3:00 p.m., FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3rd. Electronic, Emailed, and/or Faxed bids will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud on 10/3/25 at 3:15 pm. All inquiries for plan sets or technical information should be submitted via email (no telephone calls) no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2025 to Julie L Basic, PLA at jbasicpla@gmail.com
