PUBLIC HEARING
The Fauquier County Parks & Recreation Department will hold a public hearing on May 21,
2026, at Laurel Ridge Community College Barkman Family Conference Center, Hazel
Hall 6480 College Street Warrenton, VA 20187. The hearing will be held from 5:00-7:00
PM.
1. Public hearing for VDOT Project Number EN24-030-896, UPC 125740: Laurel Ridge
Shared Use Path
A public hearing to share with the public the design plans to construct a shared use path
from Laurel Ridge Community College to the Warrenton Branch Greenway Trail. The
project consists of approximately 4,450 linear feet of a 10-foot-wide shared use path,
including associated pedestrian and drainage improvements to enhance connectivity and
safety within the corridor. Informational handouts and a large, colorized print of the project
will be made available during the public hearing.

All interested persons are invited to attend this public hearing and present their views.
Verbal comments will be recorded by a court reporter. Written comments may also be
submitted at the hearing or following the meeting.

Resolution Authorizing Acquisition of Property Necessary
for Public Purposes by Condemnation or Other Means
March 31, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
The Fauquier County Water and Sanitation Authority, ("FCWSA") will hold a public hearing pursuant to Section 15.2-1903(B) of the Virginia Code on March 31, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., to receive and consider public comments on the proposed acquisition, by condemnation or other means, of a certain permanent utility easement on a portion of certain real estate identified as GPIN 6889-75-8757-000, containing 12.5549 acres, Fauquier County, Virginia. FCWSA seeks to acquire an easement on a portion of the Property for public use in order to install, construction, operate, maintain, repair, and replace one or more present for future water mains, including fire hydrants, valves, vaults, meters, building service connections, and other appurtenant facilities necessary in connection therewith for the purpose of the transmission and distribution of water in the Bealeton Service District of Fauquier County, Virginia.
Following the public hearing, FCWSA's Board may vote on or after March 31, 2026, to adopt a Resolution approving the proposed public use and authorization and directing the acquisition of such easement on a portion of the Property for the public use by condemnation or other means.
A proposed Resolution and other related information will be made available for public review prior to the public hearing on FCWSA's website at www.fcwsa.org, at the office of FCWSA located at 7172 Kennedy Road, Vint Hill Farms, Warrenton, Virginia 20187, and in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Fauquier County, Virginia located at 29 Ashby Street, Warrenton, Virginia 20186.

Purpose of notice: To seek public comment on a draft permit from the Department of Environmental Quality to limit air pollution emitted by a facility in Manassas, Virginia.

Project description: Prince William County has applied for a renewal of the permit for Prince William County Sanitary landfill. The facility is located at 14811 Dumfries Rd, Manassas, Virginia. The facility is classified as a major source of air pollution. The permit would allow the source to continue to operate a municipal solid waste landfill.
HOW TO COMMENT AND/OR REQUEST A PUBLIC HEARING: DEQ accepts comments and requests for public hearing by hand-delivery, e-mail, or postal mail. All comments and requests must be in writing and be received by DEQ during the comment period. Submittals must include the names, mailing addresses and telephone numbers of the commenter/requester and of all persons represented by the commenter/requester. A request for public hearing must also include: 1) The reason why a public hearing is requested. 2) A brief, informal statement regarding the nature and extent of the interest of the requester or of those represented by the requestor, including how and to what extent such interest would be directly and adversely affected by the permit. 3) Specific references, where possible, to terms and conditions of the permit with suggested revisions. Please note this draft permit is being concurrently reviewed as a proposed permit by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
